Supply Chain Spotlight: Dexterra Group

Babcock Leonardo Canadian Aircrew Training’s (BLCAT) supply chain stretches from coast-to-coast. Our solution to Canada’s Future Aircrew Training program (FAcT) is combining our international experience and delivering it through exceptional Canadian partners. We are proud to work with leading Canadian companies, like Dexterra, to deliver world class aircrew training to the Royal Canadian Air Force.

What excites you the most about contributing to Canada’s new Future Aircrew Training Program?

We are honored to be able to serve those that serve Canada. We know that this partnership will contribute positively to Canadian communities and bring lasting economic benefits and opportunities for Canadian businesses, Indigenous communities, and support job creation for Canadians. Tell us about your history working in Canada.

For over 75 years, Dexterra has been serving Canadian clients and is currently providing employment for over 8,000 Canadians. Our national reach ranges from densely populated urban centres to some of the most remote and logistically challenging locations in Canada.

Our focus on diversity: Dexterra is committed to developing a workforce that is, at all levels, representative of the diversity of talent in the Canadian workforce and the communities and customers we serve.

Indigenous Communities: We know that within our history in Canada one of our most important initiatives is continuous support of Indigenous communities. We recognize the importance of building lasting, transparent, trusting and mutually beneficial relationships with Indigenous partners, vendors, and communities alike. Dexterra Group supports our Indigenous partners by providing opportunities for employment, training, subcontracting, and business capacity building.

What positive impact would the FAcT contract deliver to your community?

The FAcT program will:

  • Allow Dexterra the capability for increased Indigenous participation in our Canadian business through greater employment and SMB suppliers;
  • Enhance our position as a leader in supporting the Canadian Defence sector
  • Provide additional jobs to those in the Prairie Region and small communities (SK and MB);
  • Support the growth of local Canadian suppliers, including SMBs in all regions of the country; and
  • Promote skills development and training to advance employment opportunities for Canadians in the Facility Management sector.
