OTTAWA – MAY 30th 2023 – Babcock Leonardo Canadian Aircrew Training is delighted to announce that they will be attending CANSEC 2023 at the EY Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. Francesco Norante, President, Leonardo Canada, and Jerry McLean, CEO, Babcock Canada, will be delivering a media briefing about Babcock Leonardo Canadian Aircrew Training’s solution for Canada’s Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program. The media brief will be held on May 31st at 3pm EST inside the CANSEC media room.
The Babcock Leonardo Canadian Aircrew Training solution will ensure the next generation of Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) aircrew candidates receive the world’s best military aircrew training. With over 70 years of global aircrew training experience, our solution leverages decades of delivering training to G7 and NATO allies.

The Babcock Leonardo Canadian Aircrew Training solution will focus on delivering fully integrated end-to-end training that is based on live and synthetic training platforms, such as the M-345 advanced jet trainer and its state of the art training system that may exploit the Live Virtual Constructive technology (LVC) allowing students to interact, through the simulator, with pilots in flight within the same training mission. This enables the simulated environment and real aircraft to merge with most of the mission parameters that can also be edited on the fly by the instructor.
Babcock Leonardo Canadian Aircrew Training is working closely with a team of strategic partners, selected for their history of supporting Canadian aviation and their internationally recognized expertise, to meet the requirements of Canada’s FAcT program.

About FAcT (Future Aircrew Training) Program
The Canadian Government is seeking to procure a comprehensive aircrew training program that provides aircraft, ground based training systems, civilian instructors, as well as other essential services, such as air traffic control, aircraft and airfield maintenance, accommodation, and food services for the Royal Canadian Air Force. The 25-year contract is currently in the evaluation phase and is expected to be awarded in fall of 2023.
